Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for your next opportunity within a warm, welcoming and supportive team?

Cockburn Vets is a proudly independent, family-run small animal practice in Coalville. We’re looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic RVN to join our experienced team and help us continue providing excellent, personal care to our patients and their families.

We’re primarily looking for a qualified RVN, whether newly qualified or more experienced, although we would also be happy to consider applications from final-year student veterinary nurses.

Hours and rota

For a full-time position, you can choose to work either 37.5 or 40 hours per week. We’re also open to part-time applications, ideally for a minimum of four days per week, although there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.

The weekend rota involves two Saturday mornings in every seven. There are no routine out-of-hours shifts.

You will also join a one-in-seven inpatient support rota alongside one of our vets. If an inpatient is staying at the practice, this may involve returning at approximately 10pm or 11pm to help with their care. On the same rostered week, you may occasionally be asked to assist if an operation is required outside normal working hours. Any additional attendance is paid separately.

Salary and benefits
